Throughout the year, Hoover School PTO sponsors fundraising and community-building events for our school families.
Our yearly events include the following. We will be adding more information and additional events throughout the school year.
| Hoover Fun Run Oct 18, 2024 | Our main fundraiser, the Hoover Fun Run, will take place on Friday, October 18. Families help with the fundraiser by asking friends and family to support their student runner(s). On the day of the run, Students head out to the school track with their grade and spend 30 minutes walking, running, and moving as much as they can. Families also participate by volunteering for the run. A sign up sheet will be circulated closer to the event for volunteer opportunities throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you there! |
| Book Fair Nov 13-14, 2024 | Save the date, the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Hoover! More details coming soon! |
| Harvest Dance Nov 2024 | 3rd annual Harvest Dance. Bust out your favorite flannel and your dancing shoes for a fun evening! All kids must have an adult in attendance to supervised. More details coming soon! |
| Hoover at the Celtics Dec 4, 2024 | Save the date for the Hoover Night at the Celtics! Game will be at 7:30pm v. Detroit Pistons at the TD Garden. More details coming soon! |
| Holiday Store Dec 12, 2024 | The best gifts are selected with care and we’ve seen some pretty careful kids over the years. Our holiday store allows Hoover students to shop in the All Purpose Room, choosing gifts for their friends and loved ones. The price tags are low but the thoughtfulness runs high. |
| Teacher Appreciation Week Date TBD | The Hoover Community shows up to thank our School Teachers and Staff for all of their hard work and dedication to our kiddos. In the past we have restocked the break room, provided gifts to each teacher, and held a special lunch for them, while volunteers cover the kids lunch and recess. |
| Spirit Day Date TBD | Spirit Day is held on one of the last Fridays of the school year. Kids look forward to this fun-filled field day every year, where they play games, compete, dunk family members, swap books, and watch the annual 5th Grade v. Teachers kickball game. This spectacular event is only possible with an army of volunteers who are ready to set-up equipment, run game stations, and maybe even get dunked in the dunk tank! |
